New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork has claimed that he feels fine ahead of the new season after recovering from a torn Achilles.
The 32-year-old sustained the injury in his side's win over the Atlanta Falcons in week four of the season and missed the rest of the campaign.
However, after 10 months of rehabilitation work, Wilfork has admitted that he feels in good shape ahead of his 11th season in the NFL.
He told reporters: "I feel fine. To me, that's in the past. I don't even think about it. From the first day I stepped on the field with full pads back at Gillette [Stadium], I knew I could move around and play on it.
"I really didn't think much of it after that. It's an afterthought to me right now."
Wilfork has recorded 469 tackles, 16 sacks and two interceptions in his career.
