New York Giants owner John Mara has reiterated his desire to see the NFL playoffs remain as they are.
Team owners met today to discuss a number of matters, including the proposal to expand the playoffs from 12 teams to 14.
No decision was made in the end as talks were shelved until October, and Mara believes that any change will not happen until 2015 at the earliest, should it happen at all.
"My guess is that if it happens, it will be for 2015, but that's not set in stone. I've always been against it. I just like it the way it is right now," Mara told reporters.
Another matter on the agenda during today's meeting was the host city of the 2018 Super Bowl, with Minneapolis being awarded the event for just the second time.
