New York Giants safety Will Hill has failed a drugs test and could face another ban, according to reports.
Hill missed the first four matches of last season having violated the league's drugs policy, an offence he later revealed was related to marijuana.
The 24-year-old was also absent for the opening four games of the 2012 campaign for another violation, although on that occasion there were performance-enhancing drugs found in his system.
Hill is understood to be appealing the latest suspension, which could see him miss up to a full season given his previous offences.
He was expected to compete for a starting safety role with the Giants in the 2014 campaign, but any suspension could count against him with the likes of Stevie Brown and Quintin Demps also in the mix.
