New York Jets cornerback Dee Milliner is a doubt for his side's NFL season opener, according to a report.
The 22-year-old has been out of his side's practice sessions since August 10 due to a high-ankle spain and is unlikely to be fit to face the Oakland Raiders next Sunday, reports the New York Daily News.
Rex Ryan's side are thin at the cornerback position following the release of Dimitri Patterson, which has left the Jets short on experience in their secondary.
The club have claimed Leon McFadden off the waiver wire following his release by the Cleveland Browns, and he could be forced into the starting lineup due to Milliner's injury.
