DeSean Jackson: 'I deserve a pay rise'

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson feels that his performances this season justify a pay rise in the next year.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson believes that he deserves an increase in his salary for his performances this season.

Jackson had 82 receptions on the season for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns for Chip Kelly's side as he became the focal point of the offense.

He told CSNPhilly.com: "I definitely feel it's something deserving. We'll see how that plays out, and hopefully we can work things out smoothly and not have to worry about anything out of the ordinary.

"But I definitely feel like it's deserving. I'm proven in this league, and after this past year, went out there, no distractions, and just really put it all in for my team and went out there and had a lot of success, so we'll see how it goes."

The Eagles crashed out of the playoffs following their defeat to the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card round.
