Brett Keisel hints at Pittsburgh Steelers playoff hopes

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel believes that his side can still make something of their season, having picked up their first win of the campaign yesterday.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel has hinted that he believes his side can still reach the playoffs after picking up their first win of the NFL season yesterday.

An Emmanuel Sanders touchdown and four Shaun Suisham field goals were enough for the Steelers to beat the New York Jets 19-6 last night, putting an end to their worst start to a season since 1968.

Despite still sitting bottom of the AFC North with a 1-4 record, Keisel believes that his side can still make something of their campaign.

"We're not going to quit. Obviously, it wasn't the start we wanted, but the men in this locker room believe there's a chance that something great could come out of this if we all work toward it," Keisel told The AP.

"I think getting away [helped], having a bye and everyone looking in the mirror, to see what you can do to help this team win. We have the mindset that we can climb out of this hole together. This was a step in the right direction."

The Steelers will face the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday in an all-AFC North clash.
