San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has revealed that he wants to be more involved in the team's offense but he will leave it up to the offensive co-ordinator.
Davis is on pace for the fewest catches of his career since 2008 and is disappointed with the lack of involvement he has had over recent weeks.
"For me, it's all about coming here, showing up and doing what I have to do to contribute," Davis said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
"As far as not getting the ball, leave it up to the offensive coordinator. It's his call."
The 30-year-old has a career-low 9.4 yards per grab after claiming 16 catches of 20-plus yards last season and he reiterated that he would love to be more involved for the rest of this year.
