Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has admitted that he is wary of the effect Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews can have on a match ahead of the NFC championship game.
Matthews has shifted to inside linebacker from the outside since the teams met in the first game of the regular season back in September, and Wilson has conceded that he will have to watch the 28-year-old carefully to stop him from stifling his offense.
"He's in the middle, so he can go either way and still get to the ball," Wilson told reporters. "He's one of the best players in the game. I have a lot of respect for how he plays the game.
"You always have to be aware of Clay. He's moving around all over the field. You have to be aware for where he is. He's got tons of talent. It's going to be a great matchup going up against him."
The Seahawks can advance to their second straight Super Bowl with a win over the Packers at CenturyLink Field.
