Les Snead hints at Sam Bradford contract extension

St Louis Rams general manager Les Snead reveals that the team are interested in extending the contract of quarterback Sam Bradford.

St Louis Rams general manager Les Snead has revealed that the team are open to extending the contract of quarterback Sam Bradford.

Bradford missed the majority of last season after suffering a season-ending ACL tear against the Carolina Panthers in week seven, but head coach Jeff Fisher insisted that he is still the team's number one quarterback.

The 26-year-old is about to enter the penultimate year of his current contract and, despite the Rams having two first-choice picks in this year's Draft, Snead is keen to extend that deal even further.

"We have been and still are open to extending Sam," Snead is quoted as saying by ESPN.

The Rams finished last season with a 7-9 record, missing out on the playoffs for a ninth consecutive season.
