Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has revealed that he will undergo surgery on his injured knee later this week.
Johnson said that he had been playing with a torn meniscus in his knee since week three of the season, when he rushed for 90 yards in a 20-17 victory over the San Diego Chargers.
The three-time Pro Bowler insists that the procedure is not serious, although it is expected to keep him out for at least a month.
"It's nothing major. People don't know I been playing with it since week three of the season," Johnson told The Tennessean.
Despite carrying the injury for the vast majority of the season, Johnson still managed to rush for 1,077 yards and six touchdowns during the 2013 campaign.
