Former Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo has insisted that he always remained positive with quarterback Robert Griffin III.
The 28-year-old completed a move to the Tennessee Titans earlier this month, but wished his former teammate well moving forward.
"I always tried to stay positive with him when he was handling all that adversity that he was going through," Orakpo is quoted as saying by NFL.com.
"I think he'll be able to turn it around once he's able to stay healthy, and [he'll] prove everybody wrong. And don't be too much worried about the criticism and the bad stuff that goes around being the quarterback of a big-time franchise like the Redskins."
Griffin struggled with both form and fitness last season, but coach Jay Gruden has insisted that he will be the starting quarterback next season.
