James Dasaolu, James Ellington clinch Great Britain 100m berths for Rio Olympics

James Dasaolu seals a place at the Rio Olympics, his second Games, along with James Ellington, after winning the 100m race at Saturday's British Championships.

James Dasaolu has secured his place at a second Olympic Games after winning the 100m race at Saturday's British Championships.

The 2014 European 100m champion got out of the starting blocks well and held a metre lead at halfway in Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.

Jason Elington, CJ Ujah and James Dasaolu celebrate after the men's 100m final at the British Championships on June 25, 2016

With Richard Kilty and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey struggling, and veteran Dwain Chambers never in the picture, CJ Ujah appeared to be the only threat to Dasaolu's top-spot ambitions.

James Ellington, however, came through late outside them to steal both second place and the second automatic Great Britain Rio Olympics berth.
