Chris Langridge has confessed that Team England's mixed doubles team need to "step it up" if they are to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games.
The 29-year-old and his partner Heather Olver got England up and running with a 21-7 21-13 win against Jersey pair Mark Constable and Mariana Agathangelou earlier today.
"That was mine and Heather's first game in the tournament, the hall played slightly different from yesterday as there was more drift," Langridge said.
"We played to a reasonable level and we won so we are pleased with that but we need to step it up a little it for the next few days.
"We both played doubles yesterday and it is a very different game so to get a mixed game in early we are very thankful for as we can get used to each other on court."
England completed a clean sweep of victories across all squash events on day two at the Commonwealths.
