Atlanta Hawks trio named as All-Star reserves

Paul Millsap, Al Horford and Jeff Teague are all selected as All-Star reserves for the Eastern Conference, while Tim Duncan is included in the Western Conference side.

Atlanta Hawks trio Paul Millsap, Al Horford and Jeff Teague have all been named as All-Star reserves for the Eastern Conference.

The Hawks are currently on a 17-game winning run, and the leaders of the Eastern Conference have been rewarded for their form with recognition from the NBA's coaches.

Teague is a first-time selection, and he will be joined in his first All-Star game by Jimmy Butler, who has set career-highs in a number of statistics for the Chicago Bulls this season.

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving and Miami Heat duo Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade complete the Eastern Conference roster.

Klay Thompson's consistent performances alongside Stephen Curry in the Golden State Warriors backcourt has seen him become an All-Star for the first time, while Tim Duncan and Kevin Durant beat DeMarcus Cousins to a spot in the frontcourt.

Cousins has averaged 23.8 points and 12.3 rebounds for the Sacramento Kings, but he was a surprising omission, and there was also no place for Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, whose teammate LaMarcus Aldridge did earn a selection.

Houston's James Harden, who currently leads the league in points, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul are also reserves for the Western Conference.

Eastern Conference reserves: Jeff Teague, Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler

Western Conference reserves: LaMarcus Aldridge, Chris Paul, Tim Duncan, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Klay Thompson
