David Blatt and the Cleveland Cavaliers are hoping that Kyrie Irving will be available to play the opening game of their Eastern Conference finals series against the Atlanta Hawks next week.
The point guard aggravated tendinitis in his left knee during their series-clinching win over the Chicago Bulls earlier this week.
The Cavs coach told reporters: "He's going through a lot of treatment, and we're monitoring and just hoping that he progresses from here until game time. For sure, no. But we hope so."
The Hawks beat Cleveland 3-1 during their four regular-season meetings.
