Kyrie Irving is 100% ready to go for the US national basketball team despite his recent injury scare, according to coach Mike Krzyzewski.
The guard, who plays in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers, took a hard fall late on as his country defeated the Ukraine 95-71 in the World Cup of Basketball in Spain.
"He went through the whole workout," said Krzyzewski on Friday, according to The AP.
"He was a little bit sore to begin with, but he worked his soreness out. He's ready to go, 100%."
The next NBA season is due to get underway on October 28, when current champions the San Antonio Spurs take on the Dallas Mavericks.
