Dallas Mavericks star Chandler Parsons has revealed that he believes Houston Rockets guard James Harden deserves to be named MVP this season.
Harden leads the NBA in scoring with 27.6 points per game as well as averaging 5.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.0 steals per contest.
As a result, his former teammate believes that he is worthy of the award given that he has also had to deal with the absence of Dwight Howard due to injury.
"For sure. He's the best player in basketball right now," Parsons told reporters.
"The things he's doing are incredible. The scouting report is focused in on stopping him and you see he's still getting 30 a game. It's impressive."
Harden and Parsons had a tense exchange via the media this summer after the latter left in free agency, but the pair have since patched up their friendship after time together in Team USA's training camp.
