The Golden State Warriors have announced that Klay Thompson was suffering from concussion-like symptoms after the team's win over the Houston Rockets.
The top seeds in the Western Conference sealed a place in the NBA Finals with a 104-90 win in game five, which saw the shooting guard accidentally kneed in the head by Trevor Ariza in the fourth quarter.
After the game, the team said in a statement: "Klay Thompson was evaluated by the Warriors medical staff immediately after suffering an injury during tonight's game and was put through a concussion evaluation.
"At the time he did not show any concussion-like symptoms. After the game he began to not feel well and developed concussion-like symptoms. He will continue to be evaluated by the team's medical staff tonight."
Meanwhile, Thompson told reporters: "We got a week off, or close to it. I'll be all right. I'll get my health back."
The Warriors will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals from next Thursday.
