NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors beat Oklahoma City Thunder

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Thursday's games in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors bounced back from their first defeat in 17 games in the NBA with a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Western Conference leaders' 16-game winning streak came to an end earlier this week, but a dominant spell either side of half time made sure that they avoided back-to-back losses.

Kevin Durant made a quick start to put the visitors ahead early on, but the reigning MVP sprained his ankle just before the break, leaving Stephen Curry to put the Warriors back ahead.

The Chicago Bulls finished their game strongly to clinch a win over the New York Knicks, leaving their opponents with just one win in their last 14 outings.

Both sides were missing key players, with Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose both sidelined, but Jimmy Butler stepped up in place of the latter for the Bulls, scoring a career-high 35 to lead the hosts to the win.

The Knicks had held the lead going into the fourth quarter, but Butler led a late spurt before Nikola Mirotic made a three-pointer to make sure of the win.

Anthony Davis scored 30 points as the New Orleans Pelicans came from behind to secure a win over the Houston Rockets.

The visitors were behind heading into the fourth quarter, but Davis led the team on a 7-0 run at the start of the final 12 minutes, while Ryan Anderson also chipped in late on.

The Milwaukee Bucks edged out the Sacramento Kings in a closely-fought game in the Sleep Train Arena.

Neither side were able to open up much of a lead throughout the contest, but Brandon Knight finished with 20 points, while Jerryd Bayless had 10 of his 17 in the final quarter to secure the win.

DeMarcus Cousins returned from a 10-game absence with illness, but looked tired during his 33-minute spell as the Kings slipped to their fifth straight defeat.

Results in full: New York Knicks 97-103 Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans 99-90 Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks 108-107 Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Thunder 109-114 Golden State Warriors
