Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul has been highly critical of NBA official Lauren Holtkamp after his team were hit with five technical fouls on Thursday night.
The Clippers suffered a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but Paul's issue came in the third quarter when he was given a technical when he tried to get off an inbounds pass quickly but questioned Holtkamp's delay.
"I think we have to show better composure, but at the same time some of [the technical fouls] were ridiculous," ESPN quotes him as saying.
"The tech that I get right there was ridiculous. I don't care what nobody says, I don't care what she says; that's terrible. There's no way that can be a tech. We try to get the ball out fast every time down the court, and when we did that, she said, 'Uh-uh.' I said, 'Why, uh-uh?' And she gave me a tech.
"That's ridiculous. If that's the case, this might not be for her."
DeAndre Jordan also questioned why he received a technical foul while Matt Barnes was ejected from the game and was disappointed with the calls that went against him.
