The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly considering selecting Ohio State point guard D'Angelo Russell with the second pick in Thursday night's NBA Draft.
Speculation in the last month has suggested that the Lakers will take Duke center Jahlil Okafor with the second selection if, as expected, the Minnesota Timberwolves draft Karl-Anthony Towns, and reports have claimed that Okafor could be used in a potential trade for DeMarcus Cousins.
However, Bleacher Report claims that the Lakers could still decide to pick Russell, who was tipped to fall to the Philadelphia 76ers at number three in the Draft.
The report suggests that the indecision has arrived due to Okafor's struggles in a second workout in Los Angeles, while Russell has impressed the team's scouts in his sessions.
It remains unclear whether the Lakers would be willing to trade Russell in a deal with Sacramento Kings for Cousins.
