LeBron James has insisted that the Miami Heat have not been talking about claiming top spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat replaced the Indiana Pacers as number one for the first time this season thanks to a 93-83 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday, but James believes that the team must continue to focus on hitting top form ahead of the playoffs.
"It doesn't feel like anything," the four-time MVP told reporters. "The standings are what they are. We want to play the best we can and the fact that we are in first place, I think that's pretty cool but we've got so much work to do.
"We've got too much work to do. We've got guys that need to get healthy. We haven't even talked about it. We probably won't talk about it. We've got to play the season out."
Finishing ahead of the Pacers would hand Miami home advantage if they reach game seven of the Eastern Conference finals.
