Erik Spoelstra humble in defeat

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra praises the play of the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals as they defeat his side to claim their fifth Championship win.

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has admitted that his side were outplayed in the NBA Finals.

The Heat missed out on securing a third NBA Championship in a row as they were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in the series, following their 104-87 loss in game five at the AT&T Center.

"They played exquisite basketball this series and in particular these last three games and they are the better team. There's no other way to say it," Spoelstra told ESPN.

Spoelstra guided the Heat to back-to-back titles in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
