Flip Saunders expects Anthony Bennett rotation role

Flip Saunders believes that Anthony Bennett has grown into an NBA player after a disappointing rookie season in the league.

Minnesota Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders has said that he is impressed with the way Anthony Bennett has responded after his lacklustre rookie season and sees him as a rotation player next year.

Bennett moved to Minnesota as part of the Kevin Love trade, but while Andrew Wiggins is the star man heading to the Timberwolves, the 2013 number one overall Draft pick is predicted to make an impact too.

"He has lost 25 pounds, he's working hard to get in shape. He's an NBA player. He's a guy that's going to be a rotation-type player," Saunders said, the Star Tribune reports.

Thaddeus Young also arrived in Minnesota this summer as the franchise look to compete for a playoff place in a competitive Western Conference.
