Anthony Davis ruled out for up to two weeks

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis is expected to be ruled out for up to two weeks after sustaining a sprained shoulder in his side's win over the Miami Heat.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis could be ruled out for up to two weeks with a shoulder injury.

The 21-year-old sustained the problem in his side's 105-91 victory over the Miami Heat as he collided with Hassan Whiteside while attempting a shot in the first quarter.

Davis underwent an MRI scan which proved that he had sprained his right shoulder and as a result he is expected to be ruled out for up to two weeks.

The forward is averaging 23.9 points per game for the Pelicans this season.
