JR Smith has admitted that he is unsure about whether his future is with the New York Knicks after he was left out of the team for the win over the Miami Heat.
The NBA Sixth Man of the Year was benched by coach Mike Woodson at Madison Square Garden and has revealed that he was given no indication that he would not be used on Thursday night.
"Honestly, I don't even know at this point. At one point I was for sure, and now it's rocking the boat," Smith responded when asked if he was sure of his future. "But it is what it is. It's the nature of the business.
"I could see if I was told, but there was no conversation about it. But it is what it is."
Smith was recently fined by the NBA for untying the laces of two opposing players, a prank which left Woodson frustrated with the 28-year-old.
