Last season's MVP Kevin Durant has opened a free basketball camp for children affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma last year.

After Durant opened the camp, there were an overwhelming 900 children on the waiting list after spaces for the initial camp filled.

The Oklahoma City Thunder talisman decided against the waiting list and opened up another camp for 600 more children to run simultaneously with the first group.

"When I learned there was almost double the number of kids on the waiting list as enrolled in the camp, it was an easy decision to add the second site," Durant said in a press release.

The small forward is expected to go to both camps to help the kids, with his Thunder teammates attending to lend a helping hand.
