Ireland's Katie Taylor has booked her place in the gold medal bout of the women's lightweight division with an eight-point crushing of Tajikistan's Mavzuna Chorieva.
Both fighters started cautiously in the first round and neither was willing to commit themselves early and fall behind.
However, the judges felt that Taylor did enough to earn a 3-1 lead.
The Irishwoman started to show signs that she was getting on top in the second round and managed to stretch her lead to 7-3.
Chorieva was finding the target with a few shots but was overwhelmed by the volume and accuracy of Taylor's shots.
Taylor had a stranglehold on the contest and led by six points in the final round. She went on to seal a 17-9 victory.
