Tony Bellew has set his sights on a WBC light heavyweight showdown with title holder Chad Dawson.
However, the Liverpool fighter must first navigate Argentina's Roberto Bolonti in Nottingham on November 17.
The British champion is hoping that victory will see him become mandatory challenger for the belt held by Dawson, who he believes is the "best light heavyweight in the world".
"Roberto Bolonti is another step in the right direction, it is a WBC eliminator and it is for the Silver title," Sky Sports News quotes the 29-year-old as saying.
"He is number five with the WBC and this should put one of us into the top three in my opinion, so I am hoping to get fast-tracked to the WBC.
"I have stated for a long time that the WBC is the belt I would like to win. I believe it is the best belt in boxing, so it would be a dream come true. I believe Chad Dawson is the best light heavyweight in the world, but I would be happy to fight him."
Bellew holds an 18-1 record, with his only defeat coming to Nathan Cleverly.
