Luke Campbell targets progression in third professional bout

Olympic Gold medallist Luke Campbell predicts a tougher test in professional bout number three tonight against Lee Connelly.

Luke Campbell has insisted that he expects a sterner test in his third fight as a professional tonight, when he take on Lee Connelly in front of his home fans at the Hull Ice Arena.

The Olympic Gold medallist finished his first two pro bouts inside the opening round earlier this year, but believes that Connelly can offer a more thorough examination of his credentials this evening.

He said: "I can't wait to be back in a boxing ring in front of my home town fans. The pressure is part of boxing and it's about going out there, handling the pressure and doing the business.

"I am ready to get more rounds in the bank, I want to do so to show the fans what I'm capable of and I'm expecting a tough six rounds with Lee which should make for a great fight for the fans.

"I am not taking him for granted at all. I've got my serious head on for the fight, this division is booming and I'm so happy to be a part of it. I know what I want in life and the goals I want to achieve and I am going to have to work hard to get there."

Campbell's third pro bout headlines a show featuring a clash between unbeaten heavyweights, as Lucas Browne and Richard Towers both put their flawless records on the line in Hull.
