Floyd Mayweather Jr coy on potential return

Floyd Mayweather Jr says that he has been made some 'crazy offers' to return to the ring, just nine months after announcing his retirement.

Floyd Mayweather Jr has suggested that he could potentially come out of retirement after holding talks with American television networks over a return to the ring.

The former pound-for-pound king announced his retirement from the sport after beating Andre Berto in September, but speculation has remained that he may be tempted into a 50th outing as a professional.

While falling short of confirming a decision either way, Mayweather has said that talks have been held and offers been made over the possibility of him extending his career.

The 39-year-old told Showtime: "Everyone is asking me, 'Is Floyd Mayweather coming back?' Right now, I'm happy being on this side [of the ropes], but I've been talking with CBS and Showtime, and you just never know, but right now, I'm happy on this side.

"As of right now, some crazy numbers have been thrown my way, upwards of, of course, nine figures. I'm truly blessed, way beyond belief. I'm taking my time, I don't really know what we're going to do, but right now, I'm happy being on this side, helping fighters."

Manny Pacquiao, Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner have been touted as possible opponents for Mayweather.
