Gavin Rees has retained his European lightweight title after he stopped Anthony Mezaache in the seventh round in Paris.
The Welshman began strongly as he caught his opponent with a fierce right jab in the opening round.
It got worse for Mezaache in the third as a clash of heads left the Frenchman with blood pouring down his face.
After being cleaned up, Mezaache was subjected to a bombardment of shots from Rees before he was knocked down in the seventh.
Despite getting to his feet to continue the fight, a number of punches from Rees forced the referee to call an end to the bout.
