Tony Bellew has righted the wrongs of his first performance against Isaac Chilemba by scoring a unanimous verdict in their rematch at the O2 Arena.
The Liverpool fighter was left disconsolate nine weeks ago when judges scored their first bout a draw, believing that he had done enough to be awarded the decision.
However, an increased work rate saw the 30-year-old take the plaudits this time around and earn a shot at the WBC light heavyweight title.
Chilemba was far more eager to come forward than he was at the Echo Arena, although it was a scrappy contest in which Bellew was completely in control.
All three judges scored the fight in favour of the Brit, who now awaits the winner of next month's title fight between Chad Dawson and Adonis Stevenson.
