Anthony Ogogo's victory over Ievgen Khytrov has been upheld after an appeal from the Ukrainian was rejected by the International Amateur Boxing Association.
Ogogo stunned the world number one with a victory by the narrowest of margins on Thursday, prevailing on countback after an 18-18 draw.
Khytrov's team submitted an appeal following the judges' verdict but AIBA decided to back the decision made the officials at ringside.
Ogogo now advances to the last eight of the middleweight tournament at London 2012, just one win away from a guaranteed Olympic medal.
