Team GB canoeist Jonathan Boyton has secured a spot in the K1 1000m final in the canoeing events at the European Games in Baku.
The 27-year-old went in the last of three semi-finals this afternoon, finishing third with a time of 3:27.898 when he only needed a top-six finish to progress.
Portugal's Fernando Pimenta won the heat, finishing just over two seconds ahead of the Briton, while Aleh Yurenia of Belarus was second.
Germany's Max Hoff posted a world-best time of 3:21.890 in the first semi-final.
