Australia coach Mickey Arthur believes that the national side are more than capable of performing well in the Ashes series against England this summer.
The Aussies are in a poor run of form ahead of the campaign following their series whitewash against India.
During the campaign, vice-captain Shane Watson, along with three of his teammates, were dropped for the third Test due to a breach of team protocol, while captain Michael Clarke is struggling with back problems.
"I was always really worried about the conditions in India, especially with a group of young players," ESPN quotes Arthur as saying.
"Because you can sit and tell players what it's like to play there, but until you've actually experienced it, you don't comprehend it. The Ashes conditions are a lot closer to what we're comfortable with, our pace bowlers will be a real factor in England.
"Our batters will be more accustomed to those conditions, so I'm confident everything's still on track. It is disappointing when you have a tour of the subcontinent just before a tour as big as the Ashes, because it does have the ability to pull you off track, but we're firmly on track for the Ashes and conditions will favour us."
Meanwhile, national selector John Inverarity has refused to confirm or deny whether Watson will be in the team for the Ashes following the recent controversy.
