Australia's head coach Darren Lehmann has admitted that he is concerned with the lack of runs being scored by the team's top order.
The tourists lost four wickets late on day two of the second Test against South Africa before closing on 112-4.
"We'd love more first-innings runs, I've spoken to everyone in the [press] room about that at various stages. That's what we need to do to get better as a cricket side," Lehmann told reporters.
"That's probably the issue we've had in Test matches and got out of trouble with someone like Brad Haddin in a couple and obviously Shaun Marsh and Steven Smith in the last Test match.
"We've got to get better from our top order, we know that."
Australia are leading the Test series with the Proteas 1-0.
