Former England captain Mike Gatting believes that Australia are capable of winning the Ashes this summer, despite heading into the series as underdogs.
The Aussies will begin their Ashes campaign at Trent Bridge tomorrow following a Test series whitewash in India, a number of disciplinary issues and the departure of coach Mickey Arthur, who has been replaced by Darren Lehmann.
"The Australians will fight hard, whatever anyone says and they do have the ability, if you let them play, to beat you," Gatting told BBC Radio Five Live.
"England have to make sure they play to their ability and if they do that, they will be fine."
Live text coverage of the first Test can be found on Sports Mole, starting at 10am tomorrow.
