England's spin-bowler Graeme Swann has gone to hospital for a scan on his injured arm.
The 34-year-old suffered the problem when he was struck just above the wrist by Essex bowler Tymal Mills during a warm-up clash between the two teams this afternoon.
He was still able to go on to make 94 runs before he fell to the bowling of Tom Craddock, but he then left the ground to visit a nearby medical facility to determine the extent of the problem.
Yesterday Mills's pace forced Joe Root to hobble for some time when he was caught just above the pad, while Tim Bresnan also took one of his deliveries on the jaw.
