Eoin Morgan has insisted that England's lack of experience in the sub-continent could work in their favour during the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 tournament.
The skipper is the only member of the 15-man squad to have previously played T20 cricket in India.
However, Morgan has claimed that "a little bit of naivety" may prove to be advantageous over the next few weeks.
"It's a different challenge. Not only have a lot of our guys never played in the IPL, a lot of our guys have never been to India before," he told reporters.
"I think sometimes having that experience - particularly in India where a lot of teams come here, including us, and get hammered - can almost scar your perceptions and [affect your] play in the tournament.
"Having a little bit of naivety along with a huge amount of talent isn't a bad thing."
England are due to play a warm-up game against New Zealand on Saturday, before their campaign gets underway against the West Indies a week today.
