Mark Wood has been ruled out of the England squad for their upcoming one-day international and Twenty20 series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.
The bowler, who also missed the recent Test series between the two sides because of an ankle injury, has returned home to get some specialist advice on the problem.
In terms of a replacement, the ECB has since announced that Liam Plunkett will shortly join up with the rest of the squad.
The Durham paceman has taken 45 wickets from his 34 ODI appearances to date, while he has featured in just one T20 encounter.
