Sri Lanka reach 181-8 in their 50 overs in the Champions Trophy semi-final against India.

Sri Lanka have posted a disappointing 181 in their innings in the Champions Trophy semi-final against India.

India's captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl and his decision was justified with the early wicket of Kusal Perera, who edged to Suresh Raina at slip off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The Sri Lankan innings was very slow getting started and they were effectively two down as Tillakaratne Dilshan retired hurt with a calf problem.

Lahiru Thirimanne was the next to go with Sri Lanka on just 36, but then a partnership built between Mahela Jayawardene (38) and Angelo Mathews (51).

Jayawardene was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja with Sri Lanka on 119, before the wickets started to tumble again.

Eventually from their 50 overs Sri Lanka managed 181-8, leaving India requiring 182 to set up a final date with England.
