Jason Kenny into men's track sprint semi-finals

Jason Kenny reaches the semi-finals of the men's track sprint with victory over Matthew Glaetzer.

Team England track cyclist Jason Kenny has qualified for the sprint semi-finals with a 2-0 best-of-three win over Matthew Glaetzer in the quarter-finals.

Kenny led from the front in his first heat to successfully hold off the Australian's challenge, before pipping his opponent on the line in the second to take an insurmountable lead.

Kenny's teammate Matthew Crampton was unable to get through his heat, with New Zealander Edward Dawkins too strong to take it 2-0 as well.

The other two men into the final are Sam Webster of New Zealand and Australia's Peter Lewis.
