Kim Huybrechts has admitted that last year's quarter-final victory over Michael van Gerwen at the Grand Slam of Darts was the "best performance of his life".
Huybrechts hit a nine-dart leg on the way to a 16-10 triumph against the world number one, and ahead of their last-eight clash, their fifth in Wolverhampton in three years, the Belgian is looking for a repeat of 12 months ago.
The 29-year-old told PDC.TV: "It was the best performance of my life. I felt so good on that stage and it would be awesome to repeat that.
"I'm looking forward to playing Michael and feeling confident. I will have to play a game like last year against Michael to beat him, otherwise I've got no chance, so I know what I'm up against and it's up to me to do it."
Van Gerwen recorded a 5-1 win over Huybrechts in the group stages on Sunday.
