Dave Pallett has insisted that he is relishing the prospect of facing two-time world champion Adrian Lewis in the first round of the PDC World Championship.
The world number 55 will be making his debut at Alexandra Palace after performing well on the PDC Pro Tour, and despite being handed one of the toughest draws, the Newport thrower believes that there is no pressure on his shoulders going into the contest.
The 24-year-old told the Shropshire Star: "Adrian is one of the best players in the world. I think he will be more scared of me than I am of him, to be honest.
"I have nothing to lose and that takes the pressure off. I have to fly out of the traps, maybe take the first set and don't bottle it from there, as people have done against him in the past.
"I am really looking forward to it, I am happy with the draw and my trip down to London can't come quick enough now. I have waited a long time for this."
Elsewhere in the draw, defending champion Michael van Gerwen was paired with Joe Cullen while Phil Taylor drew Germany's Jyhan Artut.
