ITV in talks to resurrect Family Fortunes?

ITV are reportedly planning to bring back Family Fortunes as "feel good" TV during the coronavirus lockdown.

ITV are reportedly in discussions about reviving Family Fortunes during the coronavirus lockdown.

The game show - based on the US format Family Feud - was a mainstay of the ITV schedules for 22 years, originally airing from 1980 to 2002, and was hosted by Les Dennis for much of that time.

In 2006 the show was reinvented as All Star Family Fortunes, hosted by Vernon Kay, running for 11 series before being axed in 2015.

According to Deadline, ITV are looking to bring back the show in its original format as "feel good" TV during the ongoing shutdown.

The show would be produced in accordance with government guidelines, with the two families competing from their respective homes and the host being stationed in a third location.

ITV have yet to comment on the rumours.
