Manchester City will be looking to equal the all-time English football winning record when they face Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester City will be looking for their 14th consecutive win in all competitions when they travel to Anfield on Sunday afternoon to face Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Citizens have already set a club record, having won each of their last 13 matches across three separate competitions, including nine straight wins in the Premier League.

The Manchester club will now be looking to equal the all-time English football winning record when they take on Jurgen Klopp's side at Anfield.

A 14th successive victory for Pep Guardiola's team would see them match Preston North End's winning run in 1892 and Arsenal's in 1987.

City are currently two points clear of second-placed Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table, while they also have two games in hand over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The gap from the top to fourth-placed Liverpool is seven points, meanwhile, and Guardiola's side also have a match in hand over the reigning champions.
