Arsenal close in on Pedro signing?

Barcelona winger Pedro emerges as a transfer target for Arsenal, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly moving closer to signing Barcelona winger Pedro.

The Gunners are said to have wanted to sign the 27-year-old for the past two seasons, but he has not been allowed to leave the club.

However, it is thought that Barca boss Luis Enrique is now willing to allow Pedro to leave the Camp Nou, after the Spanish international has struggled to dislodge Neymar, Luis Suarez or Lionel Messi from the front three.

According to The Metro, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to take advantage of the situation and secure Pedro's signature this summer.

Pedro has made 48 appearances for Spain, scoring 16 times in the process.
