Arsenal 'to rival Liverpool, Everton, West Ham United for Domagoj Vida'

Arsenal reportedly enter the race to sign Besiktas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida, who is also wanted by Liverpool, Everton and West Ham United.

Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Croatia international defender Domagoj Vida this summer.

Vida shone at this summer's World Cup to help Croatia to the final of the competition for the first time ever, leading to a number of Premier League clubs gaining an interest in the centre-back.

Liverpool are understood to have seen more than one approach turned down already, while West Ham United have reportedly made an offer of £19m for the Besiktas man.

Everton have also been credited with an interest, and Turkish outlet Milliyet claims that Arsenal have now increased the competition for his signature by making an approach.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery has already bolstered his backline with the signings of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but the retirement of Per Mertesacker and long-term injury for Laurent Koscielny means that he is still considering further additions.

Beskitas are reportedly holding out for a bid of €30m (£26.7m) for the 29-year-old, who only joined the club from Dynamo Kiev in January.
