Arsenal will reportedly make a move for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric at the end of the season.
The Gunners brought Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the Emirates Stadium in January, but more new players are expected to arrive at the club this summer.
Head coach Arsene Wenger is said to be preparing for next season despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.
According to Don Balon, Wenger wants a replacement for Santi Cazorla, who is struggling to overcome a long-term ankle problem, and Modric has been identified as the perfect player to boost the Arsenal midfield.
Modric has a contract with Madrid until June 2020, but the Croatian's future has recently been called into question as the Spanish and European champions prepare to make big changes at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
The 32-year-old, who spent four years in the Premier League with Arsenal's rivals Tottenham Hotspur, is closing in on 250 appearances for his Spanish club.
